- Home-Based with bi-weekly office visits in Southampton
- £70,000 to £75,000 per year

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Lead Project Manager to oversee a team consisting of six project managers, associate project managers and project coordinators who are delivering a variety of complex projects for the Highways Technology sector.
You will work at both project and programme level, taking responsibility for ensuring your direct reports outputs are delivered to the expected quality while also providing them support, training and routes of escalation where required.
You will be able to work to relevant project management methodologies (APM, Prince2) for larger projects, whilst also working in a flexible manner for smaller ones.
This is a key client facing role within the business, and you will be expected to provide regular reports and updates on project progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of Project/Programme managing complex technology projects
- A strong background in the highways industry, ideally dealing with technology (NRTS, RTMC, TPMS, HADECS, VMS, ANPR, etc.) would be HIGHLY beneficial
- Professional Certifications and experience implementing project management methodologies (APMP, Prince2)
- Demonstrable experience of establishing the project team and developing it, being responsible for the overall success of the project as per contractual arrangements
- Experience in the establishment and monitoring of budgets and able to resolve cost overruns, manage project capital and risks
- Experience of acting as principal point of contact for clients
Role and Responsibilities:
- Be part of a cross-functional senior management structure which includes HSEQ and quality, operations, engineering, finance, account management and customer satisfaction
- Lead the project team, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones
- Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
- Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, and respond to other issues that affect the project
